A Powered Subwoofer is the best way to have significant bass to top off your enjoyment of video enhancement and music listening.

Some woofers do a much better job when used for video and others are more suited for music playback. Choosing one that does both jobs well is guided mainly by your room layout and physical cabinet size acceptability.

Sizes vary from quite small (less than a 12" cube) to significant. Most can be positioned anywhere their presence is least intrusive in your room, but normally a single Powered Subwoofer is best positioned towards the front of your room.
